An Update from The Center in Houston

2017 Steelers Family Fest Last summer, NHS/AVS partnered with The Center in Houston to support PURSUIT for those with disAbilities cross-country ride to raise awareness of and support for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Center has not fared well in the storm. Below is an excerpt from their website about the impact:

Hurricane Harvey came to Houston and wreaked unprecedented havoc on the city and its surrounding areas. Like many of our neighbors, The Center’s campuses were not spared in the devastation. From the loss of our entire dental clinic currently submerged under water to completely damaged classroom, work, and activity spaces, we were hit hard. While we are currently still assessing the damage, the clean-up must begin and we need help. We are grateful for everyone who has reached out to us to offer words of encouragement and support.
